I saw the Marley Natural Spoon Pipe online some time ago and immediately fell in love with it's simple wood & glass design. The price was a bit high in my opinion, but I finally decided to order one when I found it for $10-15 less on PPPI. Out of the box, it really is a good looking pipe. It wasn't long, however, until I discovered a major design flaw... the weight of the glass end is not heavy enough to counter-balance the mouthpiece end so it ends up tipping, defeating the whole purpose of the flat wooden base. Had the bottom of the entire glass portion of the pipe been enclosed instead of being open-bottomed, there would be no issue in balance. The open bottom on the glass bowl also makes no sense in that it needlessly exposes the inside of the wood base to smoke and resin buildup. (Regarding that wood base, their design team should have taken things one step further and turned it into a little compartment to hold extra flower. Oh, well...) I do still like the pipe and will keep it in my rotation, but I'm honestly disappointed knowing how much better it could have been.

This piece is really very nice. I’ve only just gotten it, and I suppose time will tell, but my initial reaction is impressed. It’s very handsome: the wood and glass look very nice together. I really enjoy the texture of the wood in my mouth and it hits so smooth. I had an issue and my order was delayed, but once the company realized the issue they got it to me quickly and honestly it was worth the wait. Highly recommend.
